Visiting Artists

GAK regularly hosts visiting glass artists at our studios. We have three different types of visiting artist opportunities available for artists to explore new ways to work with glass. Our opportunities span one week to several months and culminate in an exhibition in our Reflections Gallery. Each visiting artist opportunity includes a public demonstration and artist talk. When possible intensive workshops are offered to qualified students and established artists. These workshops can range from two to three days, up to week long classes, depending on the techniques taught. Each Visiting Artist is asked to donate two pieces to Glass Art Kalamazoo at the end of their residency; one to reside in the GAK private collection, and the other will be designated for auction. We have paused our Visiting Artist programs due to the pandemic. Contact us for more information.
