The loss of a loved one is extremely difficult. We understand and our artists would be honored to create a beautiful, handmade glass art ash memorial to commemorate your loved one. We offer many options to pay tribute to your family member, friend, or pet by memorializing their cremated remains within glass. Each memorial ash glass art piece will serve as a touchstone to your grief and a balm for your loss

What is Memorial Ash Glass Art?

Memorial ash glass art are pieces of glass art that capture ash remains in a swirl of color, unique to your loved one, sealed forever in a gorgeous handmade work of art. Glass Art Kalamazoo will treat the cremated remains with the utmost care and respect, following strict tracking and production methods. We hope that these beautiful pieces of glass art will help comfort you in your grieving, giving you a tangible reminder of your treasured memories with your loved one.

How Does it Work?

  1. You schedule a time at the studios with our artist to discuss your memorial ash glass art piece. Our artist will help guide you in the color selection, design and number of memorial glass pieces. We will also answer any questions you may have about the process. You will need to pay a deposit on the memorial ash glass art pieces (price varies on design and number of memorial pieces). We will send you home with a labeled collection kit for the cremains.

  2. You will put approximately 1 tablespoon of the cremains per item ordered into the labeled collection kit. Our glass artists will guide you in the proper amount needed to complete your memorial pieces.

  3. Return the collection kit to the studio during our regular office hours (or by appointment). Our artists will respectfully combine the cremated remains of your loved one with the glass into your memorial ash glass art pieces. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your memorial glass art pieces to be completed.

  4. Once your pieces are complete, we will contact you to arrange pickup and final payment. If you require shipping of your completed artwork, we can arrange that as well for an additional cost. Any unused ashes will be returned to you with the finished pieces.

  • Dome or Egg Shaped Paperweight (3.5 inch diameter)
  • Heart, Teardrop or Bone Shaped Paperweight
