Intermediate Glass Blowing Workshop: Problem Solving (March 22, 24, and 26)

This is a 3-day (12 hour) intermediate-level workshop

Wednesday March 22 — 5pm-9pm

Friday March 24 — 5pm-9pm

Sunday March 26 — 12pm-4pm

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Students must have completed our “Glass Blowing Essentials I” course or equivalent prior glass blowing experience in order to register for this workshop.

In this 3-day course taught by Josh Davids & Ekin Aytac, we will utilize drawing, demonstrations, and hands on practice to improve glass blowing ability. Instruction will be shaped by individual needs and can be used to address technical difficulties experienced in your work, improve/build upon foundational techniques, or explore new shapes and develop beyond current limitations. The course will begin with a survey to help our instructors understand the issues each student is looking to address. Every class session will begin with instructor demonstrations and students will then work in teams with instructor oversight helping them through each project. If you are struggling with thin bottoms or thick lips on your vessels, want to consistently make the perfect punty, or want to gather ideas and experience to approach that dream project – this is the course for you!

All tools and materials included with ticket price.

Projects created in our studios will be ready for pickup 5-7 days after completion.
