Torch Working Studio.
This is a 3 day workshop:
Wednesday, January 31 (5:30-8:30pm),
Wednesday, February 7 (5:30-8:30pm),
Wednesday, February 14 (5:30-8:30pm).
Move beyond our “Make It!” level classes and begin the process of learning to work independently in the torch studio with this 3-part course. Learn a variety of essential creative techniques while working with Borosilicate glass over a flame. Begin with a solid rod of glass and melt it into a molten ball that can be manipulated into little treasures, such as pendants, marbles, chains, and sculptures. Over the course of 3 sessions, learn studio safety, color application, hand control, and annealing. The instructor will also provide one-on-one troubleshooting. After completion of this course and with instructor approval, you may be eligible to begin renting torch time in the lampworking studio.
PRIOR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must have completed a “Make It!” Course in Torch Working or similar experience to participate.
Students must be 12 years or older. Students under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
All tools, materials, and finished project included with ticket price.
Projects created in our studios will be ready for pickup 5-7 days after completion.
Classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment. See our full Cancellation Policy HERE.
