Announcing our 2024 Signature Ornament – “Pine Cone Dreams” – designed and handmade in our studios by Zam Sonnenfeld. The artist utilized a pineapple mold to add texture, and a reduction process to bring an iridescent shine to the surface of these gorgeous iris gold bulbs. They are completed with a lovely red twine ribbon and “2024” charm. They’re absolutely stunning in person, and ready to add a warm glow to your tree.
As a nonprofit art center, we produce a Signature Ornament each year to help raise funds for our programming and outreach. However, this year we are inspired to use this opportunity to help our friends and colleagues who have been greatly impacted by the flooding and damage of Hurricane Helene, particularly in the western North Carolina area. A majority portion of the purchase price will go to CERF+ Craft Emergency Relief Fund – an organization providing funding to artists who have suffered from a recent, career threatening emergency such as illness, accident, fire, or natural disaster.
